Do I need a credit card to start?

No. Sign in with Google, GitHub or your email and you can create your first repo in seconds. No payment details required.

Custom domains will ship with Premium. For now every repo lives at gitbrand.com/your-slug, which is short, memorable and free.

Can I share a repository with my team?

Yes. Just send the GitBrand URL. Team members can also be granted edit access from the repo settings.

In what formats can I download my logos?

Upload SVG and download as SVG, PNG or JPG at any size. Quality is preserved because the source is vector.

Can I embed a repo on another website?

Yes. Every repo is available at /embed/your-slug, which renders the same content without the GitBrand header and footer — perfect for iframing into design systems or internal wikis.

How do I copy a color or font value?

Hover any color swatch or font name in your repo and click — the value is copied to your clipboard with a confirmation toast.

Can I make a repository private?

Yes. You can lock any repo with a password. Visitors will be required to enter it before any data is fetched.

Do you store passwords for private repositories?

Passwords are checked server-side via a Cloud Function and never exposed in the browser response. Private repo data is only sent after the password is verified.

Who owns the assets I upload?

You do. GitBrand only stores the files so your team can access them. You can delete anything at any time, and we will never reuse your content.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. Uploads are stored in Supabase Storage on replicated object storage with daily database backups, and every published version keeps its own copy of the files. We recommend keeping a master copy of your originals too.

Will the Free plan stay free?

Yes. The Free plan is our commitment to keeping the core experience available to everyone. We will keep it free forever for early users.

How will Premium work?

Premium will unlock unlimited repos, custom domains, team seats and the ability to remove GitBrand branding. It is in active development.

Can I downgrade later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Drop back to Free any time. Any repos beyond the Free limit will become read-only until you either upgrade again or delete them.
