Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GitBrand ("GitBrand", "we", "us"), available at gitbrand.com. By accessing or using GitBrand, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, accessing the site, or using any feature of GitBrand, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use GitBrand.

Accounts

You can use GitBrand without an account to browse public repositories. To create or edit repositories, you need an account, created with Google, GitHub, or an email address and password. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Notifying us promptly at hi@gitbrand.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use GitBrand to:

• Upload, host, or share content that you do not have the right to distribute.
• Infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, including trademark and copyright.
• Distribute malware, phishing pages, or other harmful content.
• Harass, threaten, defame, or impersonate any person or entity.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
• Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or otherwise extract data at a scale that would impair the service for others, or use the asset API in a way that degrades it for other brands (we may rate-limit or block abusive traffic).
• Share repository passwords or API tokens with people who should not have access.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice when the violation is severe.

Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload. By uploading content to GitBrand, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, cache, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the GitBrand service. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the rights to upload and share the content you place in your repositories. If you are managing a brand for a third party, make sure you have permission to do so.

Every time you publish, GitBrand keeps a numbered version of the repository so that links to a specific version keep working. Files referenced by a published version are kept until that version is no longer referenced, or until the repository or account is deleted.

Sharing, members and the API

Public repositories can be viewed by anyone with the link and are made available to search engines, AI assistants and other software through our public endpoints and the asset API. By making a repository public you allow anyone to view and download its assets under whatever usage rules you describe in it.

Password-protected and private repositories are shown only to people who know the password, to members you invite, or to holders of an API token you create. You are responsible for the people you invite and the tokens you issue; owners can change roles, remove members and revoke tokens at any time.

Members with the editor role can change and publish a repository on the owner's behalf. The owner remains responsible for the content of the repository.

Statistics

GitBrand shows repository members aggregate statistics about their published pages: views over time, unique visitors, referrers, countries, downloads and API requests. These statistics are anonymous and must not be combined with other data to identify individual visitors. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Subscriptions & billing

The Free plan is available at no cost and we intend to keep core functionality free for the foreseeable future. Paid plans, when introduced, are billed monthly or annually in advance. If you cancel a paid plan, you keep access until the end of the current billing period.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on first-time paid subscriptions. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account. Your account is disabled immediately and your repositories, files and account data are removed by an automated cleanup shortly after, except where retention is required to comply with legal obligations. Links to your public pages, API URLs and embeds stop working when the repository is deleted.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, that pose security or legal risks, or that have been inactive for extended periods. Where possible, we will notify you before taking action.

Disclaimers

GitBrand is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your content. While we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe, we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GitBrand and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

Our total liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a notice on the site. Continued use of GitBrand after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those changes.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where GitBrand is operated. Disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, except as otherwise required by applicable consumer-protection laws.
